7th Annual APHA Film and Media Festival

  

 

2010 APHA Film Festival Announcement 

The Health Communication Working Group (HCWG) Steering Committee is pleased to announce its 7th Annual Film Festival to be held during the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) 138th Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado from November 6 - 10, 2010.

This call for submissions is limited to productions created for audiences in the United States, but is not limited to English language productions. We are looking for examples of good health communication strategy paired with professional production values.

We would like your help in identifying and soliciting worthwhile productions. Eligible productions should:
1. Be recent (no more than three years old),
2. Address a public health issue, and
3. Show evidence of collaboration between the producing agency and the intended audience.

The submissions will be collected, converted to a common media for playback, and featured at the APHA annual conference.

Please send a synopsis of your video to Linda Bergonzi King at bellapro@aol.com. Please try to keep your information to one page, double-sided. Don't forget to include your contact information on the document and/or your logo as we hand these out at the festival.
